About the Book
After the Great Quake, Las Vegas is no longer a city. It is a federal refugee camp, and the government decides who eats.
Erika Moore and her husband, Vince, survived the Great Quake and the long escape from California with their family, but life in the camp is a daily fight. Every time Erika stands up to the camp’s iron rule, the whispers grow louder that she is the camp’s “Savior,” and every act of defiance puts her family in more danger.
Then the government starts taking families apart.
Officials push extreme measures and a family adoption program, and the refugees have nowhere to run. Vince quietly builds aquaponics gardens to feed the hungry, while he and Erika train in secret for the day they will have to fight back. Their marriage and children are tested by loss and sacrifice as a revolution rises around them, one that could cost them everything they love.
